A Queens resident faces a number of serious charges, including kidnapping and sexual assault, after an incident when, according to police, he attacked a girl riding a bicycle with her father.

Teddy Moussignac, who is  44 yo, is charged with kidnapping, sexually abusing a child under 13, obstructing breathing, sexual assault, endangering the well-being of a child, assault and harassment.

According to police reports, Moussignac attacked an 11-year-old girl as she rode her bike with her father through Forest Park in Queens around 5 p.m. on Monday. It is assumed that he punched the girl and committed sexual acts, threatening her with death if she screamed.

37-year-old Diaz Reyes, the girl's father, who was riding a bicycle directly behind his daughter, quickly caught up with them and demanded that Moussignac let her go.

Reyes shared a story about how an ordinary day in the park turned into a tragic nightmare in a matter of minutes.

He said that the girl кщву ahead and he lost sight of her for just a moment. Then he heard his daughter's scream, ran up and saw only an abandoned bicycle, and then a man holding his child in the bushes.

Reyes said that the suspect hit his daughter several times and committed sexual acts. Moussignac tried to escape, but was detained by two nearby police officers.

He was arraigned Wednesday morning, and the court set bail at $150,000 in cash or $450,000 in bonds. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.

The girl was treated at Jamaica Hospital for minor injuries. Her father tells that she now has nightmares, she cannot sleep and is afraid to leave the apartment.

Nevertheless, the girl returned to her sixth grade class on Wednesday.
