Four people, including three firefighters, were injured after a massive fire tore through a building in Brooklyn late Saturday night,  ABC News reports.

The blaze broke out around 10:30 p.m. in a building on Graham Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and Devoe Street in Williamsburg, quickly spreading to neighboring structures.

Footage from the scene shows flames engulfing the top floor as heavy smoke billowed into the air while firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the fire.

According to the FDNY, approximately 200 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the four-alarm blaze, which was brought under control shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The injured firefighters were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while one civilian was treated at the scene.

FDNY Fire Chief Kevin Woods said the fire displaced about 10 families, with the Red Cross assisting at least three adults.

Chief Woods detailed the challenges firefighters faced during the incident:
"The two buildings to the left, these are also three-story buildings and we identify them also as row-frame buildings," Woods said. "They're made entirely of wood and the fire traveled heavily in that common cockloft involving all three buildings and directly through the walls."

Despite freezing temperatures, the fire crews faced no issues with frozen hydrants, which helped expedite their efforts to combat the flames.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene.
"It was wild — firefighters were everywhere, and people were just recording what was happening," one woman shared.

The ground floor of the affected building housed a business with an awning reading "City Chemist," reportedly a chain beauty and pharmacy store.

Milton Ruperto, a local business owner, expressed sympathy for his neighbors.
"I came over here -- I know the owner, I know the people that work there," he said Milton Ruperto. "It's really hard to see, as another business owner, another place from the local neighborhood to be in that situation. My heart goes out to all of them."

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
