A worker was rescued from a deep, almost 30-foot hole, at a construction site in Hudson Yards on Monday morning, ABC News 7 reports.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on the corner of Thirtieth Street and Eleventh Avenue.
Contrary to the initial information about the fall, representatives of the New York Fire Department clarified that the victim was already in the excavation when he received a blow to the head from heavy machinery working there.
Rescuers from the FDNY performed an operation to raise the victim to the surface, after which he was taken to a medical facility with a head injury.
At the moment, all information about the severity of his injuries is being clarified.
