In the Bronx, an overturned car lay beneath the parking deck it had fallen from, leaving behind wads of cash and a phone, along with a significant question: How did someone walk away from this?  - ABC News 7 writes.

A woman, claiming ownership of the now-destroyed vehicle, said she drove all the way from Pennsylvania to the Bronx upon hearing that her Porsche had crashed through a wall at River Plaza. "It's my vehicle. I paid money for it," she said.

The identity of the driver is unknown to the car's owner. However, a hospital worker visited the scene to understand the gravity of the fall. He says that the driver managed to walk into the ER after surviving the drop.

Police discovered a trail of blood near the scene at River Plaza. Surveillance footage is being reviewed, showing the vehicle accelerating through the Target parking lot cement wall at 5 a.m.

The ER worker, who wished to remain anonymous, reported that the driver suffered broken ribs. "He said he walked home afterward and took a nap. It's shocking to me that he was able to do that," the worker said.

Authorities are questioning individuals linked to the car's registration.

The Department of Buildings found no evidence that the parking deck was structurally compromised. They issued a partial vacate order for the area where the wall was damaged and instructed the property owners to erect barriers around the site, isolating it from the rest of the parking deck. Additionally, the owners were ordered to have a structural engineer prepare a report on the entire building for the DOB's review.
