Man shot outside Memorial Day barbecue in Bed-Stuy, VIDEO

A shooting occurred in the Bed-Stuy area late on Monday evening, as a result of which a 30-year-old man was seriously injured and is now fighting for his life, Channel 12 Brooklyn informs

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 11 pm outside 203 Sumpter St., near Rockaway Avenue.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found the victim with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg. The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital.

Footage taken at the scene shows that a barbecue was allegedly taking place on the sidewalk shortly before the shooting.

An overturned grill with leftovers was found on the sidewalk.

The police announced the arrest of 22-year-old Nasir Pinsett, who was arrested less than half an hour after the incident. He faces numerous charges related to illegal arms trafficking.
