Moped driver critically injured in collision with SUV in Williamsburg

A man is in critical condition after his moped collided with a Jeep in Brooklyn. Both the moped driver and a passenger were thrown from the vehicle upon impact, ABC News7 reports.

The crash occurred just after midnight on Wednesday at the intersection of Lorimer Street and Union Avenue. Surveillance footage shows the Jeep driving down Lorimer Street before hitting the moped as it crossed Union Avenue.

One of the men was transported to Kings County Hospital.

According to police, the Jeep was being driven by a 17-year-old. No charges have been filed as the investigation remains ongoing.
