A 35-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after falling off the Cross Bay Veterans Memorial Bridge in Queens on Wednesday evening, ABCNews 7 reports.

The incident occurred around 7:25 p.m. near Beach 92nd Street and Beach Channel Drive in Rockaway Beach.

According to police, the rider was on a 2019 Kawasaki, heading north on Cross Bay Bridge Boulevard, when he failed to navigate a turn, causing him to fall from the bridge and onto the intersection below.

The motorcyclist was quickly transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
