The police chief of Jersey Shore, who garnered attention after a recorded drunken kerfuffle with a subordinate, retired, six months earlier than scheduled, according to officials, - NY Post informed in the end of February.

Leonard Guida, the Bradley Beach Police Chief, has been under increasing scrutiny since a local news outlet, TAPinto, released bodycam footage of an incident on November 9. In the video, Guida, seemingly intoxicated, is observed unsteadily approaching a scene of a drunk driving crash while reprimanding his own sergeant.

Following public outcry, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation into Guida's actions, prompting the borough to suspend him from his $202,000-per-year position.

It now appears that Guida's behavior on that night will prematurely conclude his career as well.
