Source: NYPD Crime Stoppers

Police report that a family in Queens was victimized when a band of masked individuals forcibly entered their residence, restrained them, and absconded with valuables worth $1 million, NYPD informs.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Mayfair Road in Kew Gardens on March 19, while a mother and her young daughter were at home. Five masked men trailed their nanny into the house.

The mother recounted hearing the nanny's loud scream and rushing out of her room to investigate. The intruders had followed the nanny inside against her will.

She attempted to reach her daughter, who had also left her room, but the perpetrators initially separated the three of them. She was reunited with her daughter after pleading to be with her.

The woman stated that the men used duct tape to bind her and the nanny. They then proceeded to ransack the house, making off with over $1 million in luxury handbags, jewelry, footwear, and luggage.

After the perpetrators fled, the woman and nanny managed to untie themselves and secure the door moments before the intruders attempted to re-enter.

Fortunately, no one sustained injuries during the home invasion. Authorities are currently seeking the five individuals involved in the break-in, as well as the driver of the getaway vehicle, a white Toyota RAV4.
