Police are searching for a suspect after a 16-year-old was shot at the NYCHA Albany Houses in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, on Thursday, ABC News 7 informs.

According to authorities, the teenager was shot in the leg around 4:52 p.m. at 1414 Bergen Street. He was transported to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive.

The suspect, described as a male dressed in all black, fled the scene on foot.

The investigation remains ongoing.
