Police are investigating two incidents involving suspects accused of stealing nearly $7,000 worth of lottery tickets from stores in New York City, ABC News 7 reports.

The first incident occurred on December 26 around 8:30 p.m. at a business on Eighth Avenue in Manhattan. According to the NYPD, two individuals entered the store, simulated having a firearm, and stole approximately $2,100 worth of lottery tickets before fleeing on foot.

The second robbery took place on January 8 at a store on Broadway in Astoria, Queens. Police say the suspects entered the business, displayed a firearm, and stole about $4,800 worth of lottery tickets. After fleeing the store on foot, they entered a nearby Broadway subway station.

The NYPD has released images and video showing the suspects jumping a subway turnstile, carrying what appears to be a case full of scratch-offs and other lottery tickets.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The suspects are described as men with a medium complexion.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
