Two men were stabbed in separate incidents on New Year’s Day in Manhattan’s subway system, ABC News 7 reports.

The first attack occurred at 9:26 a.m. on the southbound platform of the 110th Street-Cathedral Parkway station in Harlem. A 30-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the head, side, and hips after an argument broke out with the suspect. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition. The suspect, described as a slim man wearing a red hoodie, black ski mask, and black jacket, fled the scene on foot.

Just minutes later, at 9:30 a.m., a 31-year-old man was stabbed once in the back while on a northbound 2 train traveling through Greenwich Village. The victim exited the train at the 14th Street station and was transported to Bellevue Hospital, also in stable condition. The suspect in this attack fled on foot and is described as a slim man in his 30s, approximately 5'10", wearing a puffy jacket and carrying a red suitcase.

Both incidents are under investigation, and police are actively searching for the suspects.
