Citi Bike rider killed in crash with beer truck in Manhattan

A cyclist on an electric Citi Bike was killed after being struck by a beer delivery truck in Manhattan, police reported, - NY Post writes.
 

The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday. According to authorities, the 26-year-old driver of a Lagunitas beer truck was traveling east on W. 50th St. when he turned right onto 11th Ave. and hit the 32-year-old cyclist.
 

EMS pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene.
 

"The truck driver remained at the scene. There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing," an NYPD spokesperson said.
 

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification, the spokesperson added.
