A maritime accident in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon left one man dead and three others injured, according to the NYPD, PIX 11 New York informs.
The NYPD Harbor unit and FDNY responded to a report of a boating accident just before noon. Authorities said a small boat with three people on board collided with a jet ski near Avenue X and Gerritsen Avenue.
Two individuals were transported to Coney Island Hospital for treatment and are expected to recover. Another person received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
A 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, with his identity pending family notification.
As the investigation is ongoing, further details have not been released.
