A 12-year-old girl in Queens sustained head and foot injuries after being hit by a car today, - ABC News writes.

The incident occurred on Main Street near 73rd Avenue in Kew Gardens Hills. She was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver, a 20-year-old, remained at the scene, receiving a ticket from the police for failure to yield.
