2 people in police custody, multiple shots fired inside Bronx apartment

Two individuals are in police custody following an early Saturday morning standoff in the Bronx, - ABC News7 informs.

Authorities responded to reports of multiple gunshots fired inside an apartment in the Morris Heights area. Police sources indicated that up to ten shots may have been fired.

The incident occurred on University Avenue around 3:48 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers were unable to enter the location and had to deploy their Technical Assistance Response Unit. Drones were also utilized to assess the situation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
