3 injured after shooting at catering hall leads to car crash in NJ

A shooting at a catering hall in Newark resulted in a serious car crash, sending at least three individuals to the hospital, - Eyewitness news reports.
According to officials, the crash occurred around 3 a.m. Monday on Sanford Avenue at Abinger Place. The driver, in an attempt to swiftly transport the shooting victim to the hospital, collided with another vehicle, a light pole, and a transformer, causing their car to overturn. A third person was also inside the vehicle during the incident.
A witness described the impact as so severe that the engine of the car ended up across the street after striking the pole. Police reported that the two men in the vehicle had been present at the Family Manor catering hall on Sanford Avenue when the shooting occurred.
Firefighters successfully rescued all three individuals from the overturned vehicle, and they were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Cleanup crews, along with PSE&G, worked for several hours to repair the damage and address spilled oil and fluids from the overturned cars.
Concerns about the safety of the area were voiced by a local resident, emphasizing the need for traffic calming measures such as speed bumps, street grids, and possibly a flashing light, especially considering the nearby school.
Details regarding the circumstances of the shooting at the catering hall remain unknown.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the incident is still under investigation.
