3 officers injured after shooting on Staten Island

As a result of the shooting incident on Staten Island, three police officers were injured, according to NYPD.

The incident occurred on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at 294 Richmond Avenue in the Port Richmond area.

According to police, the Nissan car, which did not stop on the request of traffic police, was later blocked by a patrol car. After that, a 31-year-old man who was in a Nissan opened fire, striking the police vehicle.

There were no direct hits to the police, but the glass fragments caused them minor injuries, and they were taken to a medical facility for treatment.

The police said that they did not return fire towards the suspect, who collided with a parked vehicle and was arrested.
