On the evening of February 22nd, a Coors Light semi-truck collided with a Popeyes restaurant in East Williamsburg, resulting in minor injuries to an undisclosed number of individuals, - Eyewitness news ABC7 reports.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Vandervoort Avenue, where the truck driver reportedly struck the restaurant. Additionally, a white Subaru sedan was caught in the collision. Emergency services transported the 60-year-old truck driver to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for minor injuries sustained in the crash. Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and declined medical attention.
Inside the Popeyes, a 22-year-old woman experienced shock but opted not to receive medical assistance.
Authorities did not make any arrests in connection with the incident. The FDNY assessed the structural integrity of the building and confirmed its stability.
