Brighton Beach shooting

Source: Photo Accident.biz

I was a witness of the shooting on Coney Island ave. in Brooklyn in the Brighton Beach area. It occurred between Brighton Beach and the Boardwalk during the day on December 31 of 2023.

It looked like it was a kind of road dispute. A guy took his gun and fired it at another guy, which fortunately struck him only in the leg.

The first guy was running around with a gun. The police and the ambulance came in around 20-25 minutes.

I attached the photos from the scene and a video which I took in the evening.

As I read later on CBS news, it was a retired NYPD officer who shot a 22-year-old man in the leg after a traffic dispute. The retired officer was arrested and was in custody and charges were pending. Police said the gunshot victim was hospitalized and expected to survive.
