The recording seems to indicate the man, who appears to be elderly, briefly paused within the pedestrian lane moments before the impact.
Subsequent to the collision, the cyclist is seen seemingly assessing the man's condition, prior to intervention from other individuals nearby.
Following this brief check, the cyclist departed from the location as others provided help to the injured man.
The Fire Department confirmed to News 12 that the incident occurred on Monday evening, with surveillance footage indicating the collision took place around 7:45 p.m.
According to the NYPD, no police report was filed, and currently, there is no active investigation into the event.
