Firefighters battled a blaze that erupted in a Brighton Beach home on Tuesday afternoon, - AM NY writes.
On June 11, numerous calls reported the fire at 3067 Brighton 3rd Street. FDNY units arrived just before 1 p.m. to find heavy fire and smoke emanating from the basement of a two-story brick house.
Fire Department personnel forced entry as flames surged overhead. Sixty firefighters from 12 units aggressively fought the fire with two hose lines.
Searches throughout the basement, first, and second floors yielded no occupants. The fire was brought under control by 1:45 p.m.
The FDNY Fire Marshals Office will investigate the cause of the fire.
