Firefighters Battle Brush Fire in Upper Manhattan’s Inwood Hill Park, ABC News 7 informs.

Fire crews responded to another brush fire in Inwood Hill Park late Monday night. Officials reported that flames erupted around 10 p.m., scorching a portion of the park before firefighters brought the blaze under control.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged. However, the fire department noted that the rugged terrain and lack of water access made fighting the flames particularly challenging.

This fire follows a massive blaze in the same park on November 13, which burned at least four acres. Since then, the area has remained under close watch by fire crews.

The incident coincides with New York City's ongoing drought warning, a result of persistent dry conditions across the Tri-State area. Earlier this month, officials issued a drought watch, which has since been upgraded to a drought warning—the city’s first in 22 years.

Residents are now being urged to conserve water as dry conditions continue to pose risks.
