Authorities in Manhattan are currently looking for a band of cyclists suspected of snatching headphones directly from pedestrians.

These incidents of theft all occurred on Monday, March 17th, coinciding with St. Patrick's Day celebrations, between the hours of 4:15 p.m. and 7 p.m.

According to detectives, the group approached individuals on their bikes, swiftly removing the headphones before quickly fleeing the scene.

The initial theft occurred in the West Village, subsequently spreading to areas including Greenwich Village, Central Park, Harlem, and the Upper East Side.

A total of seven such thefts have been reported as part of this crime wave.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with these incidents.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, in Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
