A man from Long Island has been arrested after allegedly firing a gun from his driveway, ABC News informs.

According to Nassau County Police, they were alerted by Shot Spotter to activity on First Street in Elmont at 3:20 a.m. on Monday.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a car with two bullet holes, another vehicle with a broken window, and signs of gunfire on a nearby fence and garbage can.

David Leary, 62, reportedly confronted several individuals who were tampering with his vehicle in the driveway. In response, he ran outside with a gun and fired multiple shots, according to police.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident. Leary has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a firearm, prohibited use of a firearm, and two counts of unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Hempstead on Tuesday to face these charges.
