Man severely injured in Midtown hit-and-run accident

A pedestrian was struck in an apparent hit-and-run accident early Monday morning.

The victim was found on Eighth Avenue near West 49th Street in Midtown around 3 am.

He was transported to Bellevue Hospital with critical injuries.

A vehicle with three occupants fled the scene, and police are reportedly searching the area for the car, ABC News 7 reports.
