A man was taken to a nearby hospital following a stabbing incident at a gourmet food market in Long Island City, ABC News7 informs.
The assault took place at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the precise location of the incident, attempting to determine if it occurred within the market premises or outside at the intersection of 44th Drive and 23rd Street, in close proximity to the Court Street G train station.
The victim, a 33-year-old man, sustained knife injuries to his midsection and the lower part of his back.
The events leading up to the assault remain undetermined at this time.
