A mother and her child were taken to the hospital after a lithium-ion battery cellphone charger ignited in their Manhattan apartment, Channel 12th informs.

 

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on West 60th Street near West End Avenue on the Upper West Side.

 

Details regarding the severity of their burns have not been released.
