NYPD: 17-year-old shot in Bushwick

A male perpetrator, described by law enforcement as having a dark skin tone and clad entirely in black clothing, is sought in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Bushwick, Chanell 12 informs.

 Authorities indicated he escaped on foot, his destination currently unknown.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. near 140 Menahan St., where a 17-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the lower back. Emergency services transported the injured teen to Elmhurst Hospital. Medical personnel have reported his condition as stable.

Law enforcement has released a description of the suspect as a dark-complexioned male in black attire, who reportedly fled the scene on foot, heading in an unspecified direction. Further information regarding the victim or the circumstances surrounding the shooting has not yet been disclosed.
