NYPD: 28 yo cyclist killed by driver fleeing traffic stop in Washington Heights

A minivan fleeing a traffic stop struck and killed a 28-year-old cyclist in Washington Heights, according to police, ABC News 7 reports.

The incident occurred at 9:42 p.m. on Saturday at 155th Street and Broadway.

Investigators report that the blue Toyota minivan was speeding eastbound on 155th Street when it hit the cyclist. The driver fled the scene.

The victim was later pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.

No additional details were immediately available.
