One person was killed, and three others, including a firefighter, were injured in a house fire in Brooklyn early Friday morning, ABC News 7 reports.

 

The fire broke out shortly after 3:45 a.m. at a home on Farragut Road in the Flatbush neighborhood.

 

Three residents were rushed to Kings County Hospital. A 71-year-old man, initially hospitalized in critical condition due to smoke inhalation, was later pronounced dead. A 31-year-old woman remains in critical condition, while a 65-year-old woman is expected to recover.

 

The firefighter, who sustained minor injuries, was treated at Mount Sinai Brooklyn.

 

Footage of the scene was captured on the Citizen App. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
