Passenger injured as gunfire erupts outside MTA bus in Brooklyn

A 51-year-old man is recovering after being shot while riding an MTA bus in Brooklyn, ABC News 7 informs.

 

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday near Hegeman Avenue and Thomas S. Boyland Street, according to police.

 

The NYPD reports that gunfire broke out between individuals outside the bus. One of the stray bullets entered the bus, striking the man.

 

Emergency responders transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

 

No arrests have been made as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
