Nassau police report that the 30-year-old victim was "traveling eastbound on Prospect Avenue before attempting a left turn northbound onto Cantiague Rock Road",  Cannel 12 Long Island reports.

The victim’s vehicle was then engulfed in flames, resulting in his death. Authorities have identified the driver of the other vehicle, a Honda, as 42-year-old Miguel Nolasco, who is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated (DWI). Nolasco is expected to be arraigned after he recovers from his injuries.

"He was a great father. He loved his children, and they adored him. This is truly tragic," a friend of the victim shared with News 12.

Drivers who witnessed the aftermath were left stunned.

"It’s heartbreaking to know that someone lost their life," said Kelly Jones of Westbury.
