Police report that the impact was so severe that the car flipped upside down and slid along the street, Channel 12 The Bronx reports.
 

Officers confirmed that the driver involved in the crash near P.S. 81 has been identified and arrested. According to police, 65-year-old Dexter Washington lost control of his car around 3 a.m. Wednesday, colliding with multiple vehicles.
 

Washington now faces multiple charges, including reckless endangerment and a motor vehicle violation for operating an unregistered car.
 

No other individuals were injured in the incident, but Washington remains in critical condition at Jacobi Hospital.
