Three people were caught on camera entering an apartment building at East 172nd Street and Stratford Avenue just before midnight on Sunday, January 12, according to NYPD.

Authorities say the three individuals forced their way into an apartment where a 41-year-old man and a 47-year-old man were present.

Sources indicate that the 47-year-old resisted and was pistol-whipped, while the 41-year-old was shot twice in the stomach.

The suspects reportedly stole $4,500 in cash and jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Both victims were transported to Jacobi Hospital with serious injuries. There is no current update on their conditions.
