The hunt is on for two individuals believed to be responsible for a shooting inside a Bronx Wendy's that left two men wounded.
The incident occurred at the fast-food restaurant on East Fordham Road this past Saturday evening, at approximately 7:20 p.m., ABC News 7 informs.
Law enforcement officials report that the two suspects were already inside the Wendy's when the victims entered. Without any apparent provocation or verbal exchange, the suspects allegedly opened fire.
A 27-year-old man sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and back, while a 26-year-old man was shot in the arm and thigh. Both victims were rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital and are currently listed in stable condition.
A shaken customer, Rebecca Montesdeoca, expressed her fear and disbelief upon learning about the shooting. She mentioned that a Wendy's employee told her this wasn't the first incident of its kind at that location.
The suspects, described as two males possibly in their teens, were last seen running away on foot along East Fordham Road. One was wearing blue outerwear, and the other was wearing a black puffer jacket.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and investigators are working to determine if the suspects and victims had any prior connection.
Police are canvassing the area, seeking surveillance footage that might provide clues to the suspects' identities and shed light on the reason for the violence.
