A tractor-trailer loaded with gravel overturned early Wednesday morning on the Mario Cuomo Tappan Zee Bridge. The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the Westchester County-bound side, affecting drivers coming from Rockland County, ABC News 7 informs.

Drivers were advised to consider alternate routes, such as the Bear Mountain Bridge, Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, or George Washington Bridge.

Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries in the crash. Cleanup efforts caused delays ranging from 90 minutes to two hours and were expected to continue for several hours.
