A tractor-trailer collided with the George Washington Bridge toll plaza in Fort Lee on Monday morning, causing a major traffic disruption after its cargo spilled onto the roadway, ABC News 7 informs.

Port Authority police intercepted the truck as it crossed the bridge and directed it off the road.

Crews are currently clearing the lumber scattered across the toll plaza.

According to the Port Authority, delays on the inbound upper level reached over 90 minutes at one point, while vehicles using the lower level experienced significantly faster travel times.
