Dramatic body cam footage captured the intense moment when two NYPD officers sprinted through a Bronx subway station to rescue a man who had fallen onto the tracks during a medical emergency, - NY Post reports.
The officers from the 47th Precinct rushed to the Third Avenue/149th St. station just after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, amid rush hour.
The man, reportedly experiencing a seizure, landed perilously close to the deadly third rail as a train rapidly approached.
One officer gained access to the platform thanks to a passenger who opened the emergency exit gate, while the other had to jump the turnstile.
“Despite the imminent dangers, @NYPD47Pct officers sprang into action & without hesitation pulled him off the tracks,” the NYPD said.
